Material Overview
Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) is a major by-product of the palm oil industry, primarily generated in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries. Other soft biomass materials include palm fiber, coconut fiber, sugarcane bagasse, and similar fibrous residues.

These materials are characterized by high fiber content, low bulk density, and relatively high initial moisture, making proper pre-treatment essential. When pelletized, they are widely used as fuel for large industrial boilers and biomass power plants.

Pellets made from EFB and soft biomass typically have a calorific value of 14–17 MJ/kg (approximately 3,300–4,100 kcal/kg).

EFB / Soft Biomass → Shredding → Drying → Grinding → Pelletizing → Cooling → Packaging
